Kanha Shantivanam 26th December 2023

The visitors had been touring Kanha and had some treatments at the wellness center as well as meditation sessions during their stay. Sister Anila introduced them to Daaji who then had a brief interaction with them.

One important point Daaji made was that a spiritual practice cannot be imposed on anyone. No matter how much we wish our friends or family members to meditate, it cannot be thrust upon them. It just won’t work. Even when you love someone you cannot impose yourself on the other without their consent.

Santosh Khanjee and Shreyas Khanjee joined Daaji in his morning walk. After breakfast, he had a call with Sister Elizabeth Denley on his upcoming book.

In the evening Daaji came to the office in the meditation hall to meet the guests and practitioners. Sister Anila brought with her some acquaintances from Hyderabad city who had been staying in Kanha over a couple of days as well as Shri Surender Verma, advocate at the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur accompanied by Shrimati Deepa Surender Verma who is an Additional District & Session Judge at Sriganganagar, Rajasthan to meet Daaji.

The visitors had been touring Kanha and had some treatments at the wellness center as well as meditation sessions during their stay. Sister Anila introduced them to Daaji who then had a brief interaction with them. He discussed various aspects of the Sahaj Marg practice with them while carefully answering their queries.

One important point he made was that a spiritual practice cannot be imposed on anyone. No matter how much we wish our friends or family members to meditate, it cannot be thrust upon them. It just won’t work. Even when you love someone you cannot impose yourself on the other without their consent. Otherwise, it is like taking unfair and unwilling advantage of the other person. So how can God impose himself on us? Just as it is very difficult to awaken a sleeping person. If you try he will probably be very upset with you, right? So also with meditation, we cannot impose such a thing.

That night 8.30 pm Daaji joined Steve Stein for an interview via Zoom call which will be later presented in a Summit presentation for the upcoming AI/Tech Life Balance: Meditation and  Wellness In The Digital Age - (working title) which includes Jon Kabbat Zinn, Sheryl Turkel, and others. Steve is a digital pioneer who recently launched The StreetSmart Wisdom Podcast on a platform that has more than 80 million English-speaking listeners in India.

He gave a brief message at the end where he highlighted that meditation is an inner adventure. Boldly coining new words such as ‘an inventure’ instead of an adventure, and having  ‘inperiences’ instead of experiences, Daaji explained that meditation need not be backed by faith or a belief as religions insist on. The approach with neutrality and a humble heart is the simple requirement.

This consistent transcending consciousness will result in becoming Divine. And finally transcending divinity itself to the absolute. Heartfulness practice is thus a continuum.

After the interview, he retired to bed.
