Kanha Shantivanam 24th November 2023

Daaji spent the day preparing for the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit. He also finalized a plantation area for that special tree that the Prime Minister would be planting. He also meditated with Smt. Meenakshi Lekhiji.

During dinner, Daaji’s little grand daughter joined her elders to serve the guests with such enthusiasm that it made everyone smile. Daaji encouraged her gently, paying attention to the guests as well. This training within the family to serve guests, and attend to them is a fundamental part of family life where grandchildren are prepared for important values such as hospitality – just as little Devki was learning from her grandfather and her grandmother who was also serving at the table and looking after the guests herself.

In the morning, Daaji was busy inspecting preparations for the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit, including the helipad being readied, as well as chalking out the intended route to tour Kanha Shantivanam during the upcoming visit. He also finalized a plantation area for that special tree that the Prime Minister would be planting.

In the evening he went for a stroll at Kanha Sarovar with his granddaughters who were delighted to encounter a little hare there. After returning home Daaji had a Zoom address to the IFCAI, Indian Finance and Chartered Accountant Institution, where he answered many of their questions meticulously.

This was followed by the arrival of Smt. Meenakshi Lekhiji, the Minister of State of India for External Affairs and Culture.

They had a brief conversation before Daaji graciously conducted a meditation session for all present. Smt. Lekhiji had meditated several times earlier with him and readily dived into the moment. She had spent her day campaigning for the upcoming elections. Daaji invited her to dinner along with her entourage of a few accompanying officials. Over dinner, the conversation was light and simple.  After dinner, the Minister had a conversation with Daaji in the office before saying goodbye. Daaji walked her to the gate through the garden.
