Daaji was feeling a little better this morning.
The first sunrise of 2024 painted the Kanha Shantivanam sky with a muted palette, echoing the gentle fog that veiled the sprawling spiritual haven. An air of excited anticipation crackled through the crisp January morning, for this year wasn't just any ordinary new beginning. It held within its fold the joyous promise of celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Babuji Maharaj, the founder of Heartfulness.
The silence of the meditation hall hummed with the collective rhythm of deep breaths and inward journeys, as participants from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's program delved into their daily practice.
In this crucible of quiet contemplation, a hush fell over the gathering as whispers spread of Daaji's indisposition. A wave of concern rippled through the crowd, each heart holding a silent prayer for his swift recovery. Though physically absent from the public meeting, Daaji's presence permeated the atmosphere.
After breakfast, Daaji sat on the swing. Inside the house, Brother Kambiz was already waiting to see him followed by Dr. Shree Varma aka Brother Bobby, a little later. Sometime later, Daaji went upstairs. Later, he went for a walk with Layaa. Brother Ramakanth came to meet Saheb after he returned from Gujarat. He updated him on the work status in Vadhnagar district in Gujarat where we are carrying out an important green initiative. Later Br. Uday from the US met Daaji for a brief moment. Speaking about feelings, Daaji mentioned the role tears play in evoking feelings. One interesting thing he shared was how to contain one’s feelings and conditions within ourselves for our spiritual benefit. Just as with spilling tears. If we can regulate it willfully and consciously then it can serve us better. But if they flow naturally and we cannot do anything about it then no point stopping them either.
Giving a beautiful image of how steam is used to propel an engine, and if you want to stop the engine then you let the steam out. As long as the steam is in the chamber, it generates power. We must use the steam we build, the pressure within to generate the power to propel us spiritually. It is a good example of holding your condition inside instead of letting it just spill. Some people go on crying or go on pretending - it is too artificial. But if it comes naturally go on with it there is nothing you can do.
Sometimes when you keep on sharing your condition with others, it is like this steam engine. It works like this. First of all, you are doing yourself a disservice because you are letting your condition sort of spill out and secondly you are boosting your ego. If you are sharing it for others to learn something from it then it serves a purpose. And you need to choose wisely with whom you need to share it. You don't just share your experience with whosoever comes.
