Kanha Shantivanam 12th November 2023

From afar we could hear the crackers bursting in the distance from the villages surrounding Kanha, but they were so muffled and faint that the stillness and peace of Kanha felt all the more precious to everyone as Diwali day faded into the soft Kanha night.

Daaji reached the meditation hall and conducted the sitting from 8.58 am to 9.44 am which was followed live by practitioners from all over the world. Sis. Callayna Pasternak from Canada joined virtually for her final sitting to become a Preceptor (Heartfulness Trainer). Daaji gave a wonderful talk wishing all a very Happy Diwali, the Festival of Light and then later announced the upcoming Bhandara Celebrations of Pujya Lalaji Maharaj and Babuji Maharaj

Diwali day dawned in a soft chill and the meditation hall was ready for Satsang. The yoga session began at 8 am and by 8:30 am everyone was deeply meditative, preparing themselves as Daaji had suggested. The atmosphere visibly shifted as 9 am neared. The entire hall was filled with serene meditative practitioners.

After going back home he distributed some Diwali gifts to all the workers employed by him at his residence.

Diwali was indeed celebrated with a traditional touch. Many Kanha residents went for the gala dinner at the cafeteria. A flurry of lights were shining all over and pretty lamps and rangolis adorned many homes. This year, Kanha Shanti Vanam celebrated Diwali in the true spirit of the old ways. No crackers were allowed within the ashram which made it a haven of silence so deep, so ennobling, encouraging everyone to hold onto the morning’s magnificent meditation session which lingered in the very air as it would seem. From afar we could hear the crackers bursting in the distance from the villages surrounding Kanha, but they were so muffled and faint that the stillness and peace of Kanha felt all the more precious to everyone as Diwali day faded into the soft Kanha night.
