In the night Daaji gave a virtual interview to Parthiv Parekh from Khabar. Khabar is the leading Indian community magazine for the Indian-American community in Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding areas since 1992. Daaji is so dedicated to making the practice of Heartfulness available to all those who could benefit from it that any opportunity, even a localized one such as this, and he ensures he makes himself available with full attention and care taking all the required time to answer all the questions.
He carefully answered every question asked by Mr Parekh. It was one of the most impactful interviews of Daaji. There were aspects of the interviews where he discussed the situation of Indian Americans and their disintegrating values related to family life and raising children.
Many of these simple yet profoundly practical suggestions come from his own life experience of having lived in the United States of America for decades as an Indian- American and raising a family there. Daaji flawlessly blended philosophy, spiritual experience and facts from scientific research to propose his reflections in such a manner as to leave the listeners with actual solutions to their issues. Whether we choose to follow those can shape the destiny of the future generations. He explained just how critical it is to give our quality time and attention to children and raise them in a loving and safe environment. Another very important question asked to Daaji was on the current war raging in the Middle East. This question is nagging at all our minds and hearts as we witness the horrors and losses of human lives. Daaji gave a very detailed explanation as to why it is important to be able to develop peacefulness within oneself in order to be able to pray in such a way so as to be of aid in these trying times. The various complexities of a polytheistic religion and monotheistic religion were explained by him in such astounding clarity which is so much required given the world’s perplexing geopolitical considerations that few can decipher easily. The entire one-and-a-half-hour interview ended in a deep conversation on spiritual anatomy.
So many of us await this book in India where it is yet to be launched. One must say thank you to Mr. Parekh for such brilliant questions because they spanned such an extensive swath of topics which Daaji matched with his ingenious answers.
