Kanha Shantivanam 29th September 2023

It was an enlightening talk where Daaji spoke about tests being necessary for evolution. He also gave a significant message that the year 2024 which marked the 125th birth anniversary of Babuji Maharaj, should be a year-long celebration instead of just 30th April. He asked us to make it “ a leap year in our spiritual progress and celebrate throughout the year with joy and gusto”.

When asked about the qualities a preceptor needs to possess, Daaji replied ‘Willingness to serve. Capabilities are given by the master. That's all that is needed.’  He then said, ‘I am reminded of one statement by Babuji, that preceptors are essentially intense abhyasis. That means they practice intensely.’

For the question on Recklessness and courage, Daaji said - Recklessness is foolish. Courage, generally we understand as valor, is something that you do for the good of humanity at large. Recklessness is where you don't care. Your awareness of what is good and what is bad is lost. That is recklessness.

Daaji rose and after his usual morning routine, got ready to come to the meditation hall for the concluding group meditation of the bhandara. He conducted meditation from 9:00 AM to 9:34 AM for 17951 practitioners present. Most of the practitioners had already started leaving, but a large number were still present as the upcoming weekend was a long weekend for most. After meditation, Daaji gave a talk on Tests from the Masters. It was an enlightening talk where he spoke about tests being necessary for evolution. After meditation, Daaji returned home for breakfast and met a few practitioners later. Daaji’s erstwhile teacher from college Sh Saurabh Pandya had come to meet him. Daaji was very happy to meet him and also a few of his relatives. He took his teacher for a walk around Gokul Point and showed him the unique trees planted there and pointed out their names. He went to rest shortly thereafter until evening.

In the evening Daaji went for a walk to Kanha Sarovar where he met a few more practitioners. Upon returning home he did some balancing exercises, after which he had invited the group from South Korea over for Q&A followed by dinner as it was their last day in Kanha before returning home. Daaji addressed questions from them lovingly and patiently, as a sister from the group interpreted for them. When asked about the qualities a preceptor needs to possess, Daaji replied ‘Willingness to serve. Capabilities are given by the master. After answering many other questions they all had a good meal together after which they sang a lovely Korean song for Daaji. As they joyfully laughed and danced along as they sang, Daaji was smiling and spent this lovely time with them, something that they would cherish as unforgettable memories when they went back home. He was very happy and posed for a photograph with them in his house, after which he took them to see the hydroponics setup, patiently explaining how to set it up in their own places. He then personally saw them off at the gate of his house and then retired for the day.
