Dubai 10th May 2024

The day Daaji had been looking forward to his overseas trip had finally arrived. He spent time with all the grandchildren and children. All of them joined Daaji during the breakfast and in a joyful mood, everyone sat around the dining table talking nineteen to a dozen. 

After breakfast, Daaji got ready in a smart blue suit for the departure from Kanha. All the grandchildren gave a hug to Daaji. Little Radha simply spread her chubby little arms and entered Daaji’s arms. He took little Radha and asked her to say bye to all in a gesture as if Radha was traveling with him. 

Radha accompanied Daaji till he got into the car. There was a warm, tight hug between Daaji and his son, Sahaj. Daaji then got into the car and said goodbye to all. He waved his hand to all those members present on the way who came to bid farewell to Daaji for his overseas trip.

Daaji reached the airport around 7.45 am. Many were present at the airport to say a grand farewell to Daaji. Daaji greeted all those present there and went inside. Daaji spent time with all those who accompanied him and rested for a while in the lounge.

The Emirates flight took off from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 10 am and landed at 1.26 pm in Dubai. 

While on the flight, Daaji was already missing his grandchildren. He reminisced the poem on the magical relationship between grandparents and their grandchildren and suggested that it be added to the US version of the wisdom bridge. The poem describes the eternal bond between a grandfather and his grandson describing it in such endearing terms. Daaji left the little ones in Kanha and many times during the trip their laughter and smiles would warm his heart. He suggested the phrase that, “The Grandparent is the grandchild’s first friend in life, while the grandchild is the Grandparent’s last friend in life”. It is a delight to watch Daaji with his grandchildren who are so present in his life bringing joyful sunshine every time they walk in and look bashfully at the abhyasis surrounding him while getting onto his lap. They endear every heart who behold this pure love between him and his grandchildren. 

Daaji was welcomed by many children waiting for him at brother Sanjay Mehrish’s home in Dubai when he reached there. After freshening up, Daaji conducted meditation. Daaji proceeded to have lunch with Sanjay Meherish's family along with his guests from Kanha. Then he went in for some much-needed sleep. 

At 5:30 pm a few local dignitaries and special guests were invited to meet Daaji.  Indian Filmmaker, actor and Oscar awards nominated director,  Mr. Shekhar Kapur, Mr. Ahmad Ibrahim Busherin, Head of Community Events Section Sports Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, Mr. Mahir Julfar, Executive Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dr. Eesa Mohammed Al Bastaki, The President of the University of Dubai, Mr. George from Zayed Foundation, Ms. Sohaila Kapur an Indian actress, journalist, television personality, theatre director and playwright were present. 

Daaji explained how meditation helps in becoming a better human being. He conveyed the importance of beginning the training at a very early age. He was speaking about the benefits of the Brighter Minds program offered by Heartfulness and requested the Emirati Dignitaries to take it further. Brother Anuj gave a live demonstration of Brighter Minds and explained the science behind it. The guests were completely amazed by his performance and willing to take this to another level in this part of the world. Daaji also requested Dr. Eesa and Mr. Mahir to think of doing a study on the Brighter Minds children/adults to identify the exact location of origin of the intuitive capacity in human brains using FMRI methods. After an hour and a half of discussions, the dignitaries left Sanjay Meherish's house. Daaji proceeded to his room to take a rest and have dinner.
