Omkareshwar 4th May 2023

Daaji began his day with group meditation. After meditation, he met some people who were working for Jan Abhiyan and updated him on the preparations for the one crore sittings programme. He also discussed how the fundamental thing for the project was "apnapan" - belongingness.A few people, along with Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, met Daaji at Omkareswar and continued discussion on the Jan Abhiyan.

Dr. Jitendra Jamdar, Shri Naidu, and Shri Dhirendra Kumar Pandey, who are working for the Jan Abhiyan, met Daaji and updated him on the preparations for the one crore sittings programme. Daaji gave specific directions on the detailed organisation of the programme. The discussion was elaborate and lasted over thirty minutes. He invited them for breakfast, where the discussion continued. He spoke about how the model of the Jan Abhiyan was wonderful, one that could change the entire country. The fundamental thing for the project was "apnapan," or belongingness. If any of us thought that the project was about X, Y, or Z, it would not work. We all need to feel ownership of the project; only then could things change. "Apnapan" is the key. Once a relationship is established with the village people, they will come willingly. The work is like adopting a village.
The day began early, with group meditation conducted by Daaji from 7:35 AM to 8:18 AM. After the meditation, Dr Jitendra Jamdar, Shri Naidu, and Shri Dhirendra Kumar Pandey who are working for the Jan Abhiyan, met Daaji and updated him on the preparations for the one crore sittings program. Daaji gave specific directions on the detailed organizing of the program. The discussion was elaborate and lasted over thirty minutes. He invited them for breakfast, where the discussion continued. He spoke about how the model of the Jan Abhiyan was wonderful, one that could change the entire country. The fundamental thing for the project was “apnapan” - belongingness. If any of us thought that the project was of X, Y, or Z, it would not work. We all need to feel ownership of the project, then alone could things change. “Apnapan” is the key. Once a relationship is established with the village people, they would come willingly. The work is like that of adopting a village.
He then clarified the time of departure for Omkareshwar and then went in to rest for a while. He departed for Omkareshwar at 10 AM and reached the Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC) Guest by 11:45 AM. He was pleasantly surprised to note that it took such a short time! Upon arrival, Shri Nimesh Pandey, tehsildar of the place met Daaji and had a short discussion with him. Daaji then went to rest. When it began to pour heavily at 3 PM, Daaji got up and had lunch. He later sat outside on the balcony, enjoyed the rain for some time and then again went to rest.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan arrived at Omkareshwar at 6:30 p.m. and went for a few meetings. In the meantime, Shri Jamdar and Shri Naidu met Daaji at 6:45 PM and continued the discussion on Jan Abhiyan. Daaji spoke about a village community model in Gujarat where all the members come together and eat, creating peace and positive vibes. Daaji also gave his suggestions on how tribal areas can be developed by encouraging children there to participate in sports, as physical activities are their natural strengths and they can do wonders in them. He spoke of the need to sensitise schoolteachers before they go there to teach. Shivraj ji then came to meet Daaji at 7:10 PM along with his wife and son. He felicitated Daaji with a shawl and a traditional coconut, which Daaji reciprocated. During the ensuing discussion, Daaji discussed the various initiatives already put into place by Heartfulness and the progress of the work happening at Ratlam and Shivgarh with respect to the environmental park and water bodies. Daaji gave his suggestions on a sandalwood plantation project across thousands of villages in MP, which would eventually bring economic prosperity to the community at large. He thereafter called Br Raja Amarnath to brief Shivraj ji on some ongoing successful telemedicine projects of heartfulness in other states.
After a few more discussions, Shivraj ji took leave of Daaji with a promise to meet him the next morning. Daaji then met more guests who had come to meet him. He informed everyone about the Jan Abhiyan movement, saying that the beginning of this movement was just the foundation stone of spirituality being laid. He asked everyone to be prepared as this did not mean that the one crore sittings program would end on 21 June. Once the foundation was laid, the building was remaining to be constructed and the work would need to be continued. He encouraged all preceptors to utilize the weekends to move around to different villages and conduct group meditations, not worrying about empty ashrams on Sundays. He spoke about the best Sunday group meditations being ones happening on Sundays in villages. He urged all the preceptors to go from village to village and devote full time to this work. He also encouraged those who were not trainers to use the Heartfulness app to take up the work. Every Heartfulness practitioner must take up at least one or two villages and nurture them. Daaji’s inspiration must serve to fire us from within to fulfill His vision. He then conducted a meditation session for all present, from 7:31 to 7:51 PM. After meditation, many more practitioners came to meet him. Daaji continued the conversations and discussions and then went to his room by 8:30 PM after which he had a late dinner. There was an amusing part during dinner where a sister practitioner requested him to give permission to her for preceptor work without her having to appear for the exam. Daaji laughed and jokingly asked her what she was willing to give in return for it. When she named a figure, there was laughter all around. He then told her that he would give her permission the next day but she would have to later undergo the training and examination as well. He also included two more practitioners, making it a total of three people to be prepared for preceptorship the next day - Br Atul Agarwal, Sr Meenu Agarwal, and Sr Banica Bharadwaj. They were overjoyed at Daaji’s decision and promised him that they would do their best in serving as preceptors. After dinner, Daaji retired for the day - a long and tiring one, but well spent and fulfilling in many ways.
