Kanha Shantivanam 21st May 2023

It being a Sunday, therefore, the day began early with morning group meditation, which Daaji led for the 1059 practitioners present in the meditation hall. He thereafter became preoccupied with discussions with a brother associate in charge of building at Kanha. Daaji convened the first virtual gathering with representatives from various spiritual organisations, yoga institutes, religious institutions, and individual researchers working in the field of self-development and spiritual growth from around the world via Zoom.

Daaji in his address said, “We all know and the world also knows very well that the next revolution that is to happen is a spiritual revolution. India will be leading it from the forefront and there is no doubt whatsoever about this. India is very well placed today in leading all the countries on the spiritual frontier. All the like-minded organizations who are striving to establish a unified consciousness- one level of consciousness, are working towards bringing about unity through various practices that each one of us offers. Each one of us is in a very special position to teach techniques, methodologies, know-how, and philosophies, and for all our inherited knowledge that we can share with one and all, this will be the platform.”
Being a Sunday, it was an early start to the day with morning group meditation for which Daaji reached the meditation hall around 7.25 am. He proceeded to conduct the meditation session from 7.28 am to 8.06 am for around 1059 practitioners present in the meditation hall and returned home soon thereafter. He later got busy with meetings with a brother associate overseeing construction works at Kanha and subsequently visited the Star Building area to check the location for upcoming construction activities.
The afternoon was quiet and uneventful, bringing a much-needed respite from the flurry of activities that normally surround him. The evening was about spending time with his grandchildren listening to devotional music and introducing them to the subtle vibrations that music for the divine evokes in our hearts. Time and again, we see how beautifully he nurtures the little ones through a carefully curated outer environment to nourish the soul.
Later that evening, Daaji connected at 5.30 pm over Zoom to preside over the first virtual meeting with representatives from different spiritual organizations, yoga institutions, religious institutions, and individual researchers working in the area of self-development and spiritual growth the world over. This meeting was organized as part of a joint planning for the ‘World Spiritual Conclave’ to be held in the Kanha Shanti Vanam in the first week of August and many participants from all over the world joined the call. Daaji expressed his joy to see so many of them at the very first meeting and read out the letter issued by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India who is jointly organizing the conclave along with Heartfulness. Each one of us is in a very special position to teach techniques, methodologies, know-how, and philosophies, and for all our inherited knowledge that we can share with one and all, this will be the platform.” Daaji asked everyone to provide their input, suggestions, and ideas for the event and the discussion went on for more than an hour. After the long discussion, Daaji concluded the call with a sharing of his recent experience. “Recently, after a seminar organized and conducted by the Yogoda Satsang Society at Kanha Shanti Vanam, a lady from the Society came up to me and asked me a question. Her query was about how and why they had been invited to conduct their program here and how it was possible that we could be so open towards them and not see the differences between the two systems. I told her that we don't see any difference. All spiritual organizations are the same. We are not in competition with any organization and in fact, if we are competitive, then we are not spiritual organizations. She was very happy to hear that many such spiritual organizations could come together.” There were many such profound ideas that were discussed in the meeting.
After the call, Daaji went for an evening walk. During the walk, the conversation revolved mostly around how we could better plan and promote the upcoming World Spiritual Conclave to involve more participants and representations from around the world. It was a fruitful end to a relaxing day for Daaji.
