Kanha Shantivanam 20th April 2024

In the evening, Daaji came to the meditation hall around 6 pm to officiate a few weddings. Abhyasis from South Africa joined the evening session via a Zoom link. The Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement had been invited to visit Kanha Shanti Vanam and they were all present in the meditation session.

The guests from the ‘Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement’ came up on the stage to launch their satellite television channel and to unveil their logo. Shri Datla Hunumantha Raju spoke about it and requested that Daaji do the honors. On the occasion, Daaji said, “My heartfelt gratitude to Pyramid Spiritual Society for offering to the world such a spiritual channel so that they can learn the spiritual aspects and various nuances of life. With a special favor to Heartfulness, we will also join hands with them and work together to propagate spirituality to every heart and all meditate together. So let's remain prayerful and hope that many such organizations will come together in the awakening of humanity to a greater cause. Thank you and best of luck to the Pyramid Spiritual Society.“

Daaji woke up at 4.30 am and worked in his office. He went for a walk after 6.30 am. After breakfast, Daaji went to the backstage office to meet with the School Connect Coordinator and Correspondent of the Omega School, Bharat Madhavan, who had come accompanied by some teachers from the school.

Divya, Shilpa, Ganga, Ushma Subra, and Satbir Bakshi represented the Omega school, whereas Praveen Dagdee, Sowmya, and Kanakavalli were from the Heartfulness Learning Center. Sister Anna Dearden of the Kanha Global School was also there. They showed him the future plan of the school. They presented him with various possible options for the vision, motto, and logos for Heartfulness International School, which they had carefully prepared to put before him.

While choosing the vision statement, Daaji suggested adding "Cultivating Intuition" to the statement. For the motto, amongst several options in Sanskrit, Latin, and English, he selected "Hṛidayādeva sarvaṁ vidyādhanaṁ" which translates as "All knowledge stems from the heart.".

For the logo, he chose the esoteric symbol and added it to the center of the green circle design, which was the original logo.

Regarding the 5 bundles of light that flow from the center, he spoke about the Pancha Bhootas, and he gave two options, one is to use the colors of these 5 elements as the colors for these 5 lines or to have all 5 colors on all of these 5 lines. He also asked for a change in the green circle color accordingly.

Some updates on the Omega School were as follows. Daaji was updated about the quadrangle enclosure and hoped that he would come to visit the school to inaugurate it when it would be done. With a huge smile, Daaji said "It is already inaugurated now.". The team smiled in unison but insisted on his coming for the official inauguration. Instead, Daaji suggested inviting CBSE in-charge, Himanshu Gupta for the inauguration.

Daaji instructed them to watch the video on biophilic structures, saying that, “If you have a 5000 sq ft space, you get 5 classrooms of 500 sq ft each, and the remaining for indoor greenery, and it is a self-sustaining, light structure.” For the Tiruvallur project, he suggested that we did not need to build another floor on the existing medical center but to build a new building from the ground up.

Daaji asked Dr Sarika Singh being prepared for preceptor work, if she was fasting that day so that he could give her the final sitting of becoming a preceptor. But she had already had her breakfast, so he postponed it for the next day in the evening.

Daaji conducted meditation from 9.41 am to 10.02 am for everyone there. After the meditation, a couple who wanted to get married met him, and he asked them when they wanted to get married. He suggested that they perform the ceremony that evening, as there were already a few weddings taking place. Then, seeing them not responding, he gently suggested that they could have the ceremony the next day morning. When both still remained silent, he asked them why did they hesitate to get married the next day.  They said that the bride’s parents were not there in Kanha. So Daaji then said that April 28 could be a good date too, and they thanked him with joy, deciding that by then both their parents would be able to be there for the ceremony. A young boy was sitting there, and Daaji jested with him, saying that if he wanted to get married, they would start searching for a girl for him! Everyone started to laugh.

When he left his office, Daaji asked Dr. Jayaram Thimapurram to sit in his car and they went home to Daaji’s residence, where they discussed research projects over tea. Daaji suggested studying the practices of Heartfulness in its entirety. Heart rate variability with meditative practices and EEG changes were discussed. They also discussed studying meditative states with the devices which were shared by HeartMath Institute. Then Daaji said goodbye to everyone and went to take a rest.

Abhyasis from South Africa joined the evening session via a Zoom link.  The Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement had been invited to visit Kanha Shanti Vanam and they were all present in the meditation session.

Daaji conducted meditation from 6.01 pm to 6.30 pm. He then solemnized four weddings:

1. Rakhitha from Siddipet and Akhil from Hyderabad

2. Supriya from Kurnool and Shiva Kumar from Mahabubnagar

3. Kritika from Nagpur and Kapil from Indore

4. Neeraja from Tiruppur and Keerthyvassan from Pondicherry

After the weddings, Daaji answered a few questions raised by the South African team put before him by Nishin Reddy and Chirag Saini.

Q: Daaji why did I go through such a difficult time in my life?

Daaji: We don't ask why we go through good times do we?  While we all crave happiness, we still find suffering on our path very often. This is due to our tendency to remain bound to our basal, obsessive desires. We mindfully cultivate desires in order to seek happiness. The logical mind, too much intellect, and ego-driven decisions are the main culprits for making us suffer in this world. That is why Babuji Maharaj has recommended the beautiful prayer of Sahaj Marg, that you should establish your goal, move in that direction, find out what is stopping you from attaining that goal, and make sure you don't entertain all those things that come in the way. Despite this knowledge that desires and wishes block my advancement, we crave their fulfillment ad nauseum. Is that not really worth questioning?

It is evident that we are the culprits for all the good and bad things which happen to us. We cannot say God did it. At times the people in our life can also be the source of our misery.

Q: When will you come to visit Africa?

Daaji: I would love to come there a few more times, but let us see how the field is prepared for it by Babuji Maharaj. Until then you all keep coming to India to visit us here.

Q: The world is going through so many calamities, how do we stay steadfast on our path?

Daaji: There is nothing outside us that we can control. When our own mind is not in our control then how can we aspire to control anything outside ourselves?

We cannot expect the world to behave in a certain way. It is beyond us to think we can control it. We can only remain prayerful and surrender to the greater will for our own good, for our own peace of mind. It is best that we focus on creating change in ourselves.

That should be enough.

Daaji then thanked them for joining in and assured them that whenever they needed his help he would be there. He hoped they would virtually join the celebrations of the 125th birth anniversary of Babaji Maharaj. He said that there would be a special message on the occasion of that Bhandara, which would be sent to all of them. He invited them all to reflect on it intensely and perceive its essence.
