A live journal of blessed activities in and around Kanha with Daaji
Simple tips to avoid making mistakes by Daaji
Daaji went for a walk when he was joined by Santosh Khanjee and Ragini Khanjee. He had his breakfast and then had the online live session for the Youth Unity program. Youth from many parts of the country joined this program online.
The Secretary General, whom everyone in her office addresses as SG, was convinced that people would say it was impossible to do what Daaji had done in such a short time as a template for others to follow. She mentioned that the Living Lands Charter could bring the countries together and create action groups so that they could implement change. It is a pity that many countries sign documents but don't implement anything.
Daaji woke up and offered prasad, as today is the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Ji’s. It is also the day his granddaughter Laya was born and the wedding anniversary of her parents, Marg and Apu Patel.

Daaji then conducted the meditation from 10.56 a.m. to 11.20 a.m. Padmashri Devendra Triguna met Daaji for a brief while in his office. A little later, Dr. Aditya Arya, Nivedita Shreyans, and Ramesh Krishnan met Daaji. They discussed the plan for the Youth Unite program and how it can be taken up going forward. Daaji then remained about the event that evening at 5 p.m. still to come.
A little later, Daaji went up to rest and woke up to have a late lunch, and then they cut little Layaa's birthday cake.
Daaji got ready by 5 p.m. to go to the Youth Unite awards ceremony in the main meditation hall. Daaji was greeted backstage by Raja Luis Alvarez and Dr. Tony Nader. He greeted the Rt Hon. Baroness Patricia Scotland, Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations, and her colleagues, who alighted from the golf cart at the same time as he did from his car.
Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland, Baroness Scotland of Asthal, PC, KC, is a British diplomat, barrister, and politician, serving as the sixth secretary-general of the Commonwealth of Nations. She was elected at the 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and took office on April 1, 2016. She is the first woman to hold the post. She was elevated to the House of Lords in 1997 and, as a British Labour Party politician, served in ministerial positions within the UK Government, most notably as the Attorney General for England and Wales and Advocate General for Northern Ireland. She is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and Dominica, where she was born.
The Secretary General told Daaji that she had seen a bit of Kanha since her arrival and that she was very amazed at his achievements, particularly the rainforest and the transformation of the once arid land that Kanha had been in.
They immediately fell into an engaging conversation in his office before heading to the stage for the formal program. She was impressed by the transplantation of trees and the landscaping. She felt that he had created a very peaceful, very special environment here. Her wish was that they could replicate this in as many places as possible on the planet. She said that it could become a shining example because, in the Commonwealth club of Nations, there are 56 countries of which India is one, and that's 2.5 billion people, a large portion of whom are under the age of 30. And there are many areas in the different countries in our Commonwealth that have similar problems to those that have been overcome here in Kanha.
With a loud laugh, she said, If he finds an influx of visitors to Kanha from here onwards, then he would please forgive her in advance because she was sure to be talking loudly and a lot about what all he had accomplished here!
Daaji said that the next Kanha version would be better than what had been done here. And having done it in such arid land, imagine what could be done in a fertile land with a humid climate to top it all. It can indeed be magical.
Daaji ensured that he would be glad to provide the expertise if she could open doors to other countries. As he shared his brilliant ideas and sequencing of change with her, they were joined by Darasing Khurana, an actor, model, former Mr India International Category winner in the Rubaru Mr. India, one of India’s major male beauty pageants, and media anchor, accompanied by his wife Mona, brought to Kanha by PR Coordinator and University Connect coordinator of Heartfulness Dr. Nivedita Shreyans.
After some time, they all went out onto the stage for the program. Daaji conducted meditation from 6.48 p.m. to 7 p.m. The entire program was designed to inspire the youth to unite for change globally and innovatively. Secretary General, the Rt Hon. Baroness Patricia Scotland, was awarded recognition by Heartfulness as a significant changemaker, for which she profusely thanked Daaji in her speech.

After the program, which lasted for a long time, they all came back to the office. The press clamored for some sound bytes, and Daaji elegantly stood by, even making space for the press to shoot from behind his desk, moving his chair aside, as Darasing and the Secretary General were filmed.
Later, Daaji himself shared a succinct but clear message for the youth with the press. Daaji looked entirely exhausted and stood up to go, but Darashingh wanted to invite Daaji to cut his birthday cake, to which he lovingly agreed. Daaji’s patience and dedication are exemplary, and on days like this, when it is tried and tested, it can shake you from within if you are witness to his resilience and quietude in times such as these. Even as he walked out, some people kept trying to catch his attention, asking him one thing after another. Daaji went home to a calm dinner with a couple of practitioners before going to bed.
