Kanha Shantivanam 10th April 2024

After breakfast, Anshumi Karadia, Sriram Raghavendran, and Sunil Panday, who is the bamboo expert, came to update Daaji regarding the development of the Heartfulness ecological projects that they are looking after.

A tiny, six-month-old baby was presented to Daaji by proud young parents. Daaji reached out and took the little one in his arms. As he held her close, the little child looked up into his face with rapture. Children quiet down when they are in his arms. It is a spectacle to see how his grandchildren are so peaceful and quiet. In Gujarati, we have a saying, “Peacock eggs don't have to be painted!” They are colored by the qualities of the families they live in. And Daaji’s grandchildren are so polite, considerate, and mature beyond their years.

In the morning, Daaji went for a walk with his grandson Nanak in the garden. Daaji pointed out some water apples to Nanak, who told Daaji that it was Devki, his elder cousin, who liked them a lot.

It was in the evening, as the setting sun blazed in the summer sky, Daaji came to the meditation hall office to meet with those who had requested to meet him. Liz Kingsnorth met Daaji to tell him that she was going to Australia for a while. One by one, a few abhyasis began to trickle into the office. A young boy asked Daaji whether he could begin his meditation practice, which Daaji said. “I am not sure. Ask the people beside you if any of them meditate actually.” The boy replied, “At least I am certain that you do it, Daaji!” And Daaji, mischievously said, “No, I also don’t do it.” A laugh rang out in the room. Daaji had answered the boy’s queries in a light-hearted manner so that he could wait to turn 15, which is the recommended age to begin meditation practice. It is interesting to observe how he does not give direct advice to people.

Mr. Mukesh Patel from Jaipur introduced Mr. Ramdas Maheshwary and his wife, Smt. Santosh Maheshwary, to Daaji. Ramdas Maheshwary is a diamond jeweler from Jaipur.

A little girl came up to Daaji, suddenly shy when she found herself in front of him, She gently offered him a white bag. Daaji touched the surface as if trying to guess what was in there. He asked her, “ Is it chocolates?” She said no, “ It's sweets. “ And Daaji told her, “Hmm, that is better than chocolates!” She visibly relaxed now, and Daaji, like a real-life Father Christmas, showed her a stash of toys under his desk and asked her what she wanted as a gift. Her eyes glittered with joy, and she said, Not for me but for my brother, I‘ll take that!” Daaji pulled out a gift for her and her brother, and she bubbled with excitement, turning to her parents to show them the prized gifts. Another lady came to Daaji, and when she shook hands with Daaji, he was surprised that she was shivering. He asked her about it, and she explained her condition to him. He instantly asked someone to take her to the Heartfulness polarity, saying he was sure it would make a difference to her. He kept holding her hand as if searching for a remedy and then asked her to increase her protein intake.

How thoughtful Daaji is to the multitudes who visit him every day! All those people would go home with such joy and memories to be cherished for a lifetime, like drops of pure water in an oyster shell, which someday would become pearls of the Master’s presence in their hearts.

Daaji then conducted the meditation session from 6.47 pm to 7.15 pm.

One family shared the news of the loss of one of their family members. Daaji observed one of them, who was very smartly attired and accessorized to perfection. He said, “Look how you are so concerned about your appearance and with such care, you coordinate your look. Your bag, dress, and everything else match in color and style. Have you ever tried to match the qualities of yourself to that of God ?” In saying this, he conveyed some essential kernels of truth so directly that it could only craft the heart of the person to betterment. After meeting many other abhyasis, and exchanging words with them, Daaji then took leave of all, saying that He would meet them tomorrow.
