Kanha Shantivanam 8th May 2023

Daaji began his day by meeting a couple with their eighteen-month-old kid, who were overjoyed to see him.A few persons from Dosapadu village who came to Kanha met Daaji and asked him to produce prasada for all the locals.Guests from "Majhe Gaon Heartful Gaon" met daaji and discussed how the Heartfulness movement may be spread to Maharashtra's 24000 villages.Daaji then answered questions from the audience during a Q&A session.

Meditation is a part of yoga. Lord Shri Krishna says that for one who is replete in yoga, every work that they undertake is successful. When one becomes stable in yoga, a kind of skill is also added to their actions. Those who have a focused mind, whose heart is focused, on one thing that is God, along with that, if they do farming, study, do business, or do cooking for home, if they perform their duty in remembrance, then that work will always be good. When we meditate in the morning, while meditating, we receive some inspiration about the duties we should or shouldn't perform. We keep receiving new types of messages internally. So I believe that meditation brings success to us in everything we do, but we don’t meditate to become successful. A time will come when we will surrender to God and say, "I have performed my duty; now it’s on you." We had to sow seeds; we had sown. We had to water the fields, and we did it. Now it’s in your hands. One feeling of refuge comes from within. The heart becomes content.
Daaji took the morning off for a much-needed rest and did not have any engagements. That evening, he met a couple and their eighteen-month-old baby girl from Thiruvananthapuram at home. They had come for the first time with their baby and were very happy to meet him.
Daaji came to his office in the stage building at around 5.35 p.m. A few members from the Dosapadu village group currently visiting Kanha met Daaji and requested that he make prasad that they could distribute to the villagers upon their return. Daaji offered the prasad to Babuji Maharaj and then handed it to them. Later, a few guests from the "Majhe Gaon Heartful Gaon" group also met him. They discussed ways in which the heartfulness movement could be taken to the 24000 villages in Maharashtra.   During the discussion, Daaji said he would visit the villages in Maharashtra soon. The group shared that they had brought a bullock cart to present to him. Daaji was surprised and thought it was a real bullock cart. When they said that it was a small bullock cart model and not the real one, everyone started laughing. Daaji smiled and asked, ‘Bail nahi leke aye kya?" (Haven’t you brought a bullock along with it?) They told him that they had brought a Pagadi (turban) for him as well, which was a large size and would certainly fit him. They then asked permission to felicitate him in the meditation hall, to which he agreed.
Daaji conducted group meditation from 6:00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the meditation hall. Around 1189 practitioners were present, including the Majhe Goan villagers, Dosapadu villagers, and those from Kanha. After the meditation, they felicitated Daaji with a shawl, pagadi, and bullock cart. This was followed by a Q&A session in which Daaji addressed questions from the group.   Q1. Most of the participants are farmers. They believe that mindfulness meditation is suitable for spiritual progress, but can it also be suitable for farming and material progress?   Daaji: Meditation is a part of yoga. And I have also seen that when I stayed in Gujarat, in a village near Narmada, for 10–12 years, there would be no water. Even after that, whoever remained in godly remembrance wouldn’t be troubled with any problems. Yes, there was scarcity, but nobody became strong because of it. Even in such situations, they remained joyful, doing Kirtans and moving forward. Suppose you are farming but not meditating, and the crops fail. Who will you blame? If you become successful, what will you say? Who gave it to us? So, it is our duty in this human life that we keep performing our duty, our Karam.   I don’t say that one should not hope for success. For what we have sown—seeds, cotton, or wool—we will be able to harvest them in good quantities. We share the new research that we have done and spoken about. One of them is coal and phalsa, which is saturated with cow dung or buffalo dung and gaumutra (cow urine) or bhainsmutra (buffalo urine). We keep it inside a pit underground for 7 days. Later on, when the coal is put in the soil at the farm, your yield will increase by more than 50%. So, this research was also done here at Heartfulness. We will keep sharing the new techniques as and when we progress with our research.   Q2: Our youth do not want to stay back in the villages to do farming and are attracted to city life. For this, please guide us on what to do.   Daaji: For those who are educated, it is natural that they will get attracted to city life. But a new trend has emerged: those who have studied IT (information technology) and visited foreign countries are returning to farming. Not the farming that we have been doing traditionally, but they are doing farming with new techniques that are yielding more production and generating greater income. Those who want to go, let them go. Those who stay back and want to do farming in a better way, send them over to Kanha Shantivanam to show them the way we are doing our farming.   On the way to his car, there were many practitioners waiting to meet Daaji backstage. Daaji met all of them patiently and then left for home. Later, he went for a walk around the forest at Gokul Point. During the walk, a few students from KCC met Daaji and sought his guidance on what to do next after the exam results. Later after dinner, Daaji had a discussion with Sr. Ruchi and Br. Manish Pandey (CMO) on the RV bus requirement for the upcoming MP project. Thereafter, he retired for the day.
