Kanha Shantivanam 26th May 2023

Daaji spent time with his granddaughter Layaa, listening to devotional music. He suggested placing Phyllodium pulchellum and Plumeria near the entrance of the new office, covering it with leafy gardens using tropical plants, and planting a Mahogany tree at the bottom of the stairs. This would provide space for creepers to grow.

In the evening he spent some time with his youngest granddaughter Layaa, listening to devotional music. After some time one of the associates asked Daaji where he wanted to place the plants that he had recently bought from the Nursery. Daaji said he has already selected a place for the plants and took them to the new office area. There he suggested that the Phyllodium pulchellum (two plants) and Plumeria (one plant) be placed near the entrance of the new office. He suggested covering up the entrance with leafy gardens using tropical plants instead of letting it remain a lawn and then asked to plant a Mahogany tree at the bottom of the stairs, which would give space for the creepers to grow.
Daaji’s day started with a morning walk. While walking Daaji stopped at a Papaya plant and instructed his team of associates that this plant be provided more nutrients owing to its numerous branches. Walking further, one of the associates updated Daaji about the volunteer activities being undertaken by practitioners from Madurai and Manamadurai, who had been working tirelessly to prepare the Madhuvanam Hydroponics area for cultivation and were also helping in cleaning the Karela (bitter gourd) farm. The associates informed Daaji that they would go early in the morning to the karela farm to work and continue well into the day. Daaji then asked about their breakfast and was told that the volunteers usually return from the farm around 8 am for breakfast and then work in the ashram till evening; later in the evening, they go back to the karela farm to finish the day’s work. Daaji then asked the team to arrange for breakfast for all of them at the canteen and that he would also join. After the morning walk, Daaji spent some time doing Yoga exercises with Dr. Kishore, while being watched curiously by his grandchildren, Nanak and Layaa. The intrigue and love in their eyes while watching their grandfather perform Yoga was a sight to see! On his way to the canteen for breakfast, Daaji met some students from Adilabad, Telangana, and had a short conversation with them. After they left, Daaji mentioned, with a laugh, “These students are higher than the Adilabad center practitioners.” Daaji reached the canteen around 8.30 am and had a joyful breakfast with a very surprised and thrilled team of volunteers from Madurai and Manamadurai. One couldn’t miss the happiness and love shining in the face of every volunteer, as they sat down with beloved Daaji for a hearty morning meal. When they finished, Daaji ensured that the staff created a bill for him and that it was paid from his pocket. Several abhyasis came running to meet Daaji, who was startled to see the continuous stream of people, wanting to meet him and talk to him, during the entire duration of the breakfast. After that, Daaji returned home and remained busy with work and meetings.

Daaji and the associates then walked around the canal behind the house. He narrated to the associates the story of soda making by using the fruits of the phalsa plant. As they walked, they reached an area where some underground construction was in progress. Daaji had a discussion with a sister architect about the construction plan and then returned to the house. After reaching home, he headed upstairs to oversee the construction work that had been underway in the house.
At night Daaji expressed he would like to see short clips be made of excerpts from the Wisdom Bridge book as it has many valuable lessons and teachings.
