On the way to the meditation hall at Gurgaon ashram, Daaji was presented a book by Ms Namrata Kohli, Content Advisor DDR project, CCRT, Ministry of Culture Govt of India.
As Daaji sat patiently with every child, smiling for pictures with even little babies in his lap, one was overwhelmed to see the Benevolence of the Master in giving them those precious memories that they would cherish for their whole lifetime. Those moments of being a silent witness to the work being done upon the future generations were humbling for all of us. Every heart wished that time would stand still as joy and contentment spilled over.
The sun arose bright and shining on Sunday morning with Beloved Daaji conducting satsang at 7:30 AM. The whole ashram and meditation hall were full of abhyasis who had come from all over Delhi NCR and surrounding states along with many new seekers and a number of students from the O P Jindal Global University. The atmosphere in the ashram was festive with everyone waiting eagerly to see him patiently and with discipline. On the way to the meditation hall at Gurgaon ashram, Daaji was presented a book by Ms Namrata Kohli, Content Advisor DDR project, CCRT, Ministry of Culture Govt of India.
The session:
It was once again another proud moment for all of us when Prof R C Agarwal and Dr P K Upadhyay, the President and General Secretary of the Indian Society of Genetics, Biotechnology Research and Development – a premier research organisation of the country, felicitated Daaji and presented the Prakriti Prerak Award as a recognition of his landmark contribution in the field of sustainability of the environment, plantation drives through Forests by Heartfulness, Heartfulness meditation and several significant initiatives all over the world. After the ceremony, Prof R C Agarwal shared with everyone how under Daaji’s guidance, Heartfulness has been transforming the lives of thousands of students from agriculture universities. He applauded the work of Heartfulness volunteers in guiding the faculty and youth throughout their institutions across the country. Daaji went to rest after lunch, after which he conducted satsang in the evening at 5:30 pm.
Daaji gave a talk after satsang in continuation to his response to a question asked by a sister abhyasi on why she finds it a challenge to deal with sadness despite the joys of life. Daaji spoke about taking happiness as well as sadness in one’s stride. One needs to transcend both instead of getting swayed or entangled with either of the two.
"I continue to accept all these awards on behalf of our hierarchy and our very dear sisters and brothers, without whose helping hands I don't think we can grow and can do anything at all..Wherever our Abhyasis are going they shine like stars. As Babuji Maharaj … had been saying that people should see Sahaj Marg Abhyasi from a distance and say, yes, he belongs to Shri Ram Chandra Mission and I’m very happy that we are able to see the results now. Of course, we (still) have a long way to go."
"Accept the problem from the beginning... If you will not accept the problem, how are you going to get the solution? And Babuji does not just say that accept it... He says to accept it but accept it with so much joy. ... ..When such circumstances arise and you try to accept it and when you try to do it with joy, then pray to Him, 'Babuji we don't know (what to do)'. Attract His wisdom, His Presence, that is our final solution. He will definitely take us out of it. This is our(my) firm belief. "
"We have to Transcend. Don't get so animated by joy and don't get into these deep oceans of sadness and cry about it. We have such a Great Master(Babuji Maharaj) with us. Don't you think so? Then why worry? So ...our attitude should be, come what may, I am here to go through this life whatever it brings to me. Good or bad it really doesn't matter. Because through every situation we become stronger and stronger." The next stage is not just meditating for a limited period of 30 minutes in the morning or so and 20 minutes in the evening of cleaning but meditative state must continue throughout even in your sleep....Somehow the state should continue, that conditions would continue, and when you begin meditation next day, it starts from even higher level from where you have already left yesterday. So we, our goal is moving in this direction, a state of meditativeness. And it will find its own path, just as the river without consciousness, so-called, keeps flowing without any guide and ultimately merges in the ocean. We are human beings, we have guides. How can we falter? If a mere river (can) converge in the ocean, why can't we merge in the ocean of divinity? "
"We have a zero capital of shraddha when we start ...meditation(practice) except for a little trust that we have on someone who recommended..Later on..even our irregular practice gives us so much solace. Imagine what it can do to us if we can practice regularly and later on if you can practice at a different level with joy. Not because you want to have something but because it keeps you within two banks(of a river) just like a river can flow.
The Aaj Tak channel conducted an interview with Daaji in the morning, where Daaji spoke of his life’s journey and the Heartfulness movement. Needless to say, the team was floored with the simplicity with which the understanding of real spirituality through the words and presence of the Master was revealed to them.
After lunch and a brief rest, it was time for the evening satsang at 5:30 pm. After the sitting, Daaji took a few questions from the abhyasis. The questions covered dealing with independence in relationships, how to be free from guilt and regrets and the real meaning of acceptance. As always, his inspiration and guidance in his soft voice, with unconditional love and compassion flowing through him, went deep into our hearts.
"..Those who do Meditation in the right way, get premonitions. They get to know beforehand whether to do (a specific action) or not. So there is no concept of getting guilt - when we Meditate properly (and) so the opportunity can never come that we have to shed tears (out of Guilt). With Sahaj Marg we have been given such a gift in life, we have been given such an opportunity - that we can proudly, with our heads high (and) Saluting God we can walk on this planet. We can walk with pride that we are the children of God."
"The mistake that has been done intentionally, Even God Himself cannot forgive. The person has done it intentionally. And if you really want to get rid of that mistake then Nothing will happen by just taking a sitting from a preceptor. You have to promise the Master while praying at night that you will not do it again. When you shed some tears in remorse because of the mistake one has made- in the gangajal of tears, those sins wash away. ...There is no Cleaning(as a process) of ... Point D. Point D is only cleaned when we repent for it(our mistakes) with all sincerity."
How difficult it is to grab air in your palm or in your fist!... Holding ..(onto) a spiritual state, which is so sublime, it's even more difficult. But... our practice and .. our love for the goal - helps us retain such conditions. So we just have to become a little bit more aware. Observe what I(you) have attained or been bestowed during this meditation. ..During daytime revisit this few times, the mornings condition. So this is how I think we can go on creating the (spiritual)atmosphere wherever we go.

There was another interview awaiting Daaji as he returned to the cottage, this time with Sanskaar TV. Once again, in his characteristically simple yet powerful way of conveying the most intricate truths of religion and spirituality, he steered the interview in a manner that any viewer watching the interview would be forced to revisit their beliefs through an inner churning of thoughts. It is always a learning for all of us too, on how to take the message of Sahaj marg to one and all.
After dinner, it was one of the most wonderful surprises in store for all the abhyasis present in the ashram as Daaji came to spend time with everyone in the garden. It was a treat especially for the children as their beloved Daaji invited every single child present there to come and sit with him on the ‘jhoola’ and have a picture clicked! It was a tender atmosphere of gaiety that prevailed all around. He had a few engaging conversations with the young ones who sought his guidance in what they must do ahead in their lives. He guided a young man not to continue with wrestling as it would not serve him spiritually or professionally. A young man shared about his passion for sports and his dilemma on whether he must pursue commerce or arts. His father wanted him to take up arts in higher education but he wanted to do commerce. Daaji asked him what he wanted to do and guided him to only follow his own heart.
As he sat patiently with every child, smiling for pictures with even little babies in his lap, one was overwhelmed to see the Benevolence of the Master in giving them those precious memories that they would cherish for their whole lifetime. Those moments of being a silent witness to the work being done upon the future generations were humbling for all of us. Every heart wished that time would stand still as joy and contentment spilled over. After spending those invaluable moments, he went inside to retire at 9:15 PM after the long yet fulfilling day.
