A sense of the sacred
In reply to an e-mail, Daaji stressed the need to develop sensitivity, especially while working as a preceptor. “A preceptor may find it difficult initially to perceive the inner condition of a practitioner, but if interest is there, they learn to read the condition. If the preceptor concludes from the first day that sensitivity is unnecessary, or if they give up declaring, “I cannot do it,” nothing can be done. It is like a drop-out from kindergarten. Such a scenario is tragic, where even a primary education of learning the alphabet and numbers is rejected.
